Why Syria. Why Now.
After years of devastating conflict and displacement, a window is opening. Syrians—both inside the country and across the diaspora—are looking to return, rebuild, and reclaim their future. But despite their will, the path remains obstructed by the lack of infrastructure, safety, and economic opportunity.
Movement On The Ground is ready to help change that. With official registration now established as MOTG Syria, and building on our previous success—including our contribution to the development of a hospital facility—we are launching Movement On The Ground Syria: a regionally rooted, locally led initiative to help Syrians rebuild lives with dignity.
This is a project in solidarity with local initiatives and will provide an opportunity for regional companies to stand together and invest in the future of Syria.
Our Mission in Action
Our pilot program in Syria combines safe housing, education, and transitional support to empower returning and displaced families to restart their lives with confidence and hope.
- 42 Family Apartments
Two residential buildings will be rehabilitated, providing 42 safe, dignified homes for families returning from displacement or exile. - Education & Skills Lab
A multi-purpose facility offering digital literacy, English, and vocational training—equipping youth and adults to actively contribute to rebuilding their communities. - Targeted Financial Support
Short-term cash assistance for basic needs like food, medicine, school costs, and transportation—offering families immediate stability and autonomy.
