for a sustainable operation
Through community volunteering, displaced individuals act as intermediaries between the community, stakeholders and authories, allowing them to reclaim a sense of ownership and belonging.
Meeting basic needs by providing access to and agency food, shelter and WASH facilities, fosters unity and improves living conditions that positivily impacts physical and mental health.
Equitable access to food and nutrition is ensured through decentralized distribution systems managed by community volunteers, enhancing security, coordination, and individual empowerment.
Safety is maintained with 24/7 security at access points and safeguarding policies, including comprehensive staff training and confidential reporting mechanisms to protect all involved.
Supervising and managing daily operations of WASH (water, sanitation, and hygiene) facilities by community volunteers reduces gender-based violence risks and ensures safety for everyone.
Livelihood programs facilitate (vocational) education, skill-building, and recreational or sports activities to promote (soft) skill development and facilitate remote work opportunities.
